I have loved astrology since childhood, being drawn to “newspaper horoscopes” basically since I could read. I knew there was some magic there that I couldn’t explain (but now I totally can! And after this workshop, you’ll be able to, too).
I started practicing yoga at a local gym when I was 15 and I’ve been hooked ever since!
The practice of yoga helped me heal from a very dark time in my life when seemingly nothing else could. So naturally, that sparked a desire in me to learn why yoga works so well for healing, and share what I’ve learned with others who may need it.
I imagine, if you’ve found your way to this page, you’ve felt a similar calling and desire to go deeper into your understanding of these ancient healing practices.
When I discovered during my very first yoga teacher training that a separate system of astrology existed, one that came from the same place as yoga—the ancient Vedic texts—I knew that was a rabbit hole I had to go down.
I began sequencing my classes around western astrology (before I learned jyotish--or Vedic Astrology), ayurveda, and the seasons immediately out of yoga teacher training.
Now, after 1000s of hours of continuing education, publishing research on yoga for trauma, resilience, and addiction recovery, and years of direct mentorship in Jyotish and Yoga therapy, I’ve distilled all of that seeking into a few simple techniques, to teach you how to be a Trauma-Informed Vedic Astrologer, and to build therapeutic yoga practices around the current energies.
I noticed when I started applying these techniques to my own teaching--even when I didn't mention a word about the actual astrology--I started CONSISTENTLY getting feedback from students that the class was EXACTLY what they needed. Every. Single.Time.
WITHOUT having to over-plan my classes, which also allowed me to reclaim my personal practice time from "teacher brain" mode.
